Ordering The Correct Hatch | PS Access Solutions™

Hatch Order 1 At PS Access Solutions™, we aim for the purchasing process to be as seamless as possible. To ensure you are ordering the correct Access Hatch for your application, please follow these simple guidelines.

How To Measure Your Opening:
A. Equipment Cut-Out Dimension
B. Access Hatch Size
C. Outside Frame Dimension

A. Equipment Cut-Out Dimension:
This dimension refers to your opening size. To get the Equipment Cut-Out dimension, measure the width and height of your opening. Take your equipment opening measurements and subtract 2″ to get the PS Industries access hatch size.

Hatch Order 2 — Shown: 12” wide x 16” tall Equipment Cut-Out dimension. Subtract 2” and you would need a 10” X 14” Access Hatch.

B. Access Hatch Size:
PS Access Solutions labels Access Hatch products by viewable opening size. For example, a 10” x 14” Access Hatch, which will have exactly 140 square inches of viewable area when the hatch lid is open.

Hatch Order 3 — Shown: 10” x 14” Access Hatch. This is a custom PS Access Solutions access hatch size.

Hatch Order 4 — Shown: 10” x 14” Access Hatch. This is a custom PS Access Solutions access hatch size.

C. Outside Frame Dimension:
Access Hatches are manufactured with a low-profile frame and a 2” lip. This dimension is always your Equipment Cut-Out dimension plus 2” on all sides. If you ordered a 10” x 14” Access Hatch, the outside frame dimension would be 14” x 18”.
